Operation Hope for Haiti

Hi folks, Bob Here.

Like many of our listeners, I have been shocked and deeply saddened by

the earthquake devastation in Haiti.

A couple of days after the quake I saw a news report on one of the

networks. There was a moment in the piece where the camera showed a

little girl, around 4 or 5 years old, crying and pointing at a pile of

rubble. Her mother was in the remains of their home, dead. I wondered

who will comfort her, and later, who will care for her. What will happen

to this little girl?

This is one of the worst disasters of our lifetime, and Sheri and I hope

you will join us on a special Bob & Sheri on Wednesday.

We want to give our audience a way to save children in Haiti, and we

feel the best way for us to do that is through World Vision. This

compassionate, hard working organization is already on the ground there

now, because they have been working for children in Haiti for years. In

fact, some of the first reports out of Haiti came from World Vision

workers. They were there when others could not yet get in.

Two years ago, Sheri and I traveled to Haiti's neighbor, The Dominican

Republic, to see first-hand the way World Vision makes a difference in

children's lives. We were so impressed we sponsored several children.  

It has been one of the greatest things we ever did for OURSELVES.
